Halal Food Global

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

Halal Food Global helps users scan food product barcodes and ingredient labels to screen for halal, haram, or mushbooh indicators.

Data the app uses

The app uses the camera only to scan barcodes and photograph ingredient lists. Ingredient photos are processed on the device with OCR and are not uploaded to an app-owned server.

The app may use internet access to look up product or ingredient information through external sources such as Open Food Facts, Google search results, and halal certification reference websites. These services may receive the lookup query needed for the check, such as a barcode, product name, or ingredient text.

Local storage

The app saves recent scan history locally on the user's device. This history is not sent to an app-owned server and is deleted automatically after five days.

Accounts and login

The app does not require user login and does not include account synchronization.

Advertising

The production app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction data, and diagnostics according to user choices, applicable law, and Google's advertising policies.

The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent when required and to provide an ad privacy options entry point where applicable.

Important disclaimer

Halal Food Global is a screening and reference tool. Results depend on readable ingredient labels, available product records, and external source availability. Users should verify uncertain products with the manufacturer, a qualified halal certification body, or a trusted scholar when needed.
